NY Firm Offers EM Dividend ETF

New York-based Emerging Global Advisors has launched the EGShares Emerging Markets Dividend Growth ETF (EMDG), which the firm is touting as the first emerging markets dividend growth exchange-traded fund.

The fund is benchmarked to the FTSE Emerging All Cap ex Taiwan Diversified Capped Dividend Growth 50 Index.

“Many emerging market-based multinational companies have demonstrated their ability to increase dividends,” stated Marten Hoekstra, chief executive officer of Emerging Global Advisors. “We launched EMDG as an investment tool to enable dividend growth investors to implement their investment strategy in emerging markets and diversify dividend yield sources.”

EGS’ ETF family currently consists of 15 core, thematic and sectors funds.
