ProShares Readies Merger Arb ETF

ProShares is readying a merger arbitrage exchange-traded fund to launch sometime in January, according to a Securities and Exchange Commission filing.

The ProShares Merger Arbitrage ETF will track the performance of the S&P Merger Arbitrage Index and employ a global merger arbitrage strategy. Ryan Dofflemeyer will manage the fund, which has a net operating expense of 75 basis points.

ProShares' lineup of 138 ETFs includes global fixed income, hedge strategies, leveraged and inverse, and inflation and volatility ETFs.
