RBC Recruits Morgan Stanley Director

RBC Wealth Management-U.S. has recruited a former Morgan Stanley executive director to help with the firm’s growth plans.

RBC Wealth Management-U.S. signed on Christopher Anderson, a two-decade industry veteran, for a build out in the South. Anderson will head RBC's Atlanta complex and oversee about 45 advisors and 40 support staff in seven offices, according to a statement from the company.

Anderson started his career in 1994, and has been a branch manager and complex manager. Most recently, he played a similar business development role for Morgan Stanley.

The Royal Bank of Canada recently reported strong profit growth for the second quarter. Incoming Royal Bank CEO David McKay said the firm intended on growing its wealth management and capital markets businesses in the US.
