Sentinel's CEO Takes On Poverty

Sentinel Investments’ CEO Christian W. Thwaites has joined the board of directors of The Borgen Project, a national nonprofit organization committed to improving conditions for people living in severe poverty.

Thwaites is joined on the board by Congressman Adam Smith (WA]09); Nazar Albaharna, former Bahrain Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and a member of the Ministerial Cabinet and Ambassador William Garvelink, former US ambassador to the Democratic Republic of Congo, among others.

Clint Borgen [president and founder of The Borgen Project] has a powerful vision that calls on people to engage leaders here and abroad to make a difference and be advocates for the world’s poor,” stated Thwaites. “It is a compelling narrative of active citizen engagement, social media use, and grassroots efforts to help solve the intractable problem of global poverty.”

Montpelier VT-based Sentinel offers mutual funds, retirement plan solutions and institutional investment management. Its assets under management totaled more than $27 billion as of March 31.
