Stock Mutual Funds Post $2.39B Inflow

Stock mutual funds saw an inflow of $2.39 billion during the week ending July 23, compared to an outflow of $3.02 billion the previous week, according to TrimTabs Investment Research firm.

In addition, domestic funds received an inflow of $777 million, compared to an outflow of $3 billion the previous week, while international stock funds showed an inflow of $1.61 billion, compared to an outflow of $818 million the previous week.

Bond funds saw an outflow of $3.41 billion compared with $1.27 billion last week, while hybrid funds, a mix of stocks and bonds, saw an outflow of $1.38 billion, compared with $514 million in the former week.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average experienced an increase of 3.5% for the week ending July 23, the Nasdaq Composite Index an increase of 1.8%, and the Standard & Poor’s 500 Index posted a 3% increase.
