T. Rowe Chief Counsel Retiring

Henry H. Hopkins, chief legal counsel at T. Rowe Price for the past 20 years and an employee of the firm for the past 35 years, will be retiring in the spring and replaced by Associate Legal Counsel David Oestreicher.

“I have decided after considerable debate that I will retire as of the end of March,” Hopkins said. “I consider myself very lucky to have been at T. Rowe Price and to have been able to participate in its growth as well as the dramatic growth of regulations that control every aspect of our operations.”

Oestreicher joined T. Rowe Price a decade ago and has worked closely with Hopkins since then.

Before joining the company in 1972, Hopkins was special counsel in the division of market regulation at the Securities and Exchange Commission.
