UBS Wealth Management Americas has continued on its recent hiring tear with the addition of Morgan Stanley Smith Barney financial advisor William McKenna to its Red Bank, N.J. office.
McKenna previously had $907,000 in annual fees and commissions and $196 million in assets under management. He reports to complex director John Geoghan.
McKenna has been registered with UBS since April 28, according to FINRA records, and was registered before that with Morgan Stanley in Red Bank, N.J. starting from June 2009. McKenna has also worked for Citgroup Global Markets and Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith, FINRA records show.
The latest hiring comes as UBS’ U.S. advisor attrition has reached its lowest level since before the financial crisis, the firm said in its April first quarter earnings call, with a financial advisor head count of 6,811. The firm has steadily announced new additions to its force in recent weeks, adding advisors in San Diego, San Francisco, Beverly Hills, Calif., Port Jefferson, N.Y., Dayton, Ohio and San Antonio, Texas.
