Advisor Mark Wilkins joined UBS Private Wealth Management in St. Louis, a satellite of the firm's Chicago office. He reports to Complex Director Mike Gatewood.

Wilkins oversaw $425 million in client assets while at Merrill, where he worked in the wirehouse's elite Private Banking & Investment Group.

Wilkins had been with Merrill since 1994, according to FINRA BrokerCheck records. He previously served as an officer in the U.S. Army, according to UBS.

A Merrill spokeswoman did not return calls seeking comment on the departure.

However, on the same day that UBS announced its newest recruit, Merrill said it had recruited a UBS advisor in Stamford, Conn.

Deborah Briskin will report to Katie Flaherty, market executive for Merrill. Briskin had worked at Merrill from 1984 to 2008, when she left for UBS, according to BrokerCheck records.

Also moving to Merrill from UBS are analyst Chris Underhill and client associate Brian Belak.

The firm declined to provide production and AUM for Briskin.
