Vanguard is now offering discounted financial planning and lower online brokerage commissions to investors who have $100,000 in assets with the firm. Previously, those discounts were only available to those with $250,000 in assets.

“We’re pleased to bring even greater value—additional services, lower costs and more personal attention—to a greater number of Vanguard shareholders,” said Vanguard CEO John J. Brennan.

Vanguard now has three tiers of shareholder services: Voyager, for those with between $100,000 and $500,00; Voyager Select, for those up to the $1 million mark; and Flagship, for those with $1 million or more.

“Simply put, we are making it more rewarding for investors to place most, if not all, of their investment eggs in Vanguard’s basket,” Brennan added.
