Wasatch Renames Four Funds

Wasatch Funds of Salt Lake City, Utah has renamed four of its equity funds in an effort to better describe the funds' investment strategies.

Wasatch Micro-Cap Value was renamed Wasatch Small Cap Value; Wasatch Aggressive Equity was renamed Wasatch Small Cap Growth; Wasatch Growth was renamed Wasatch Core Growth; and Wasatch Mid-Cap was renamed Wasatch Ultra Growth. Wasatch Funds announced the changes earlier this month.

"We are trying to give the funds names that make more sense in relation to what their investment objectives are," said Jennifer DeWall, manager of Wasatch's high-net-worth client business. "The investment objectives won't change, but this will make it a little easier for our investors to understand what the funds do."

In addition to clarifying funds' objectives, the new names will ease marketing efforts and the funds will be easier to find on computer searches, DeWall said.
