WisdomTree Investments Inc. said Tuesday that it had introduced an actively managed, exchange-traded fund.
The WisdomTree U.S. Current Income Fund is to invest in money market securities and have an expense ratio of 0.25%. Mellon Capital is to subadvise the portfolio.
Money market funds typically hold high-quality, short-term debt such as Treasury bills and are typically used for capital preservation. The new portfolio is to seek current income while preserving capital and maintaining liquidity by investing primarily in very short-term, high-quality, money market instruments.
WisdomTree has $4.9 billion of assets under management.
