Wells Fargo lost an advisor specializing in sports and entertainment to Stifel, a regional broker-dealer which has been on an aggressive hiring streak.

In the past few weeks, Stifel has picked up a slew of new hires, including several advisors previously affiliated with Wells Fargo. The St. Louis-based firm recently reported having 2,193 financial advisors, up from 2,118 for the year-ago period.

Wells Fargo, meanwhile, has reported advisor attrition in recent years following a fake accounts scandal and the departure of two CEOs. The bank had 13,799 brokers at the end of the second quarter, down 427 from the year-ago period, or a 3% loss.

Stifel’s new hire, Joshua Glass, joined the firm in Los Angeles. Glass managed $350 million in client assets while at Wells Fargo, according to his new employer. He’s been ranked on Forbes’ Best-In-State Wealth Advisors and Next-Gen Advisors lists.

His practice “is designed specifically for high-net-worth individuals, with a focus on the sports and entertainment industries,” according to his profile on Wells Fargo’s website, which was still available as of Wednesday.

He became an advisor with UBS in 2003, according to FINRA BrokerCheck records. He moved to Wells Fargo in 2007.
