BlackRock Rebrands Claymore's ETFs

BlackRock’s Canadian investment arm, BlackRock Investments Canada, Inc., is now rebranding to iShares the names of most of the exchange-traded and closed end funds previously marketed under the Claymore Investments brand.

For example, the Claymore Gold Bullion ETF will now be marketed as the iShares Gold Bullion Fund, while the Claymore 1-10 Yr Laddered Government Bond ETF will go by the moniker of iShares 1-10 Yr Laddered Government Bond Index.

Nearly 40 funds began trading under these new names today. The iShares Premium Money Market Fund will trade under the iShares brand on April 2.

BlackRock, Inc. completed its acquisition of the Toronto-based Claymore Investments, Inc. earlier in the month after receiving security holder approval. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.
