BlackRock to Offer Real Estate Fund

BlackRock has a new real estate offering in the works, dubbed the BlackRock US Real Estate Securities Strategy Fund, according to a Securities and Exchange Commission filing.

The fund will have exposure to real estate investment trusts, REIT-like structures, or real estate operating companies whose businesses and services are related to the real estate industry. It will be managed by Mark Howard-Johnson, Global Head of BlackRock’s Real Estate Securities Team, and Sherry Rexroad, chief investment officer of BlackRock’s Global Real Estate Securities Group.

A spokesman for the firm was not immediately available for comment on the new offering.
