The open-ended mutual fund is pegged to the Standard & Poors Commodity Trends Indicator and holds actual commodity futures, not just stocks that are exposed to the commodities market.

The Commodity Trends Strategy Fund can serve as a powerful diversification tool for investors, allowing them to capitalize on both surges and declines in commodity demand and prices," said Dan O'Neill, Direxion Funds' president and chief investment officer.
Commodity index funds have seen their cash surge from $13 billion five years ago to $260 billion today.
