A longtime Edward Jones advisor managing $363 million in client assets has joined Ameriprise’s employee channel, an Ameriprise spokeswoman says.

Paul Lang, an Atlanta-area advisor who was at Edward Jones for 34 years, according to FINRA BrokerCheck records, is taking the title of managing director at Ameriprise.
“I felt Ameriprise was the right move because it allowed us to focus on the core of our business — financial planning and providing unparalleled service,” Lang says in a statement.
Joining Lang at Ameriprise’s Roswell, Georgia office are advisor Emily Ellis and client service associate Teri Roach, a spokeswoman says.
Raymond James grabbed five multi-million teams in a month. Other firms to see big transitions include Wells Fargo and Ameriprise.
Ellis started her career in 1983 at First Albany’s New York office. She joined Edward Jones in 2010, according to FINRA BrokerCheck records.
“The decision to move firms isn’t something advisors take lightly,” Manish Dave, senior vice president of business development at Ameriprise, says in a statement. ”They want to know the firm they’re going to has the capabilities to take care of their clients and help them grow — technology, investment research, strong leaders and good service, to name a few.”
