Ameriprise hired a team from UBS that managed $314 million in assets, a spokeswoman said.
It’s another wirehouse pickup for Ameriprise, which announced last month it hired
The following 17 teams oversaw about $75 billion in assets. The firms ending the year with prize recruits include a diverse cast: regional BDs, wirehouses, boutiques and RIAs.
The firm’s newest team is comprised of members of the Vilfordi family. Senior team member George Vilfordi III got his start in the business in 1979. His nephew Aaron joined the team in 2012, followed by Aaron’s brothers Alex and Adam in 2016 and 2018, respectively.
Chris Vilfordi — George’s brother and father to Aaron, Alex and Adam — was a team member from 1982 until he retired in 2017.
“We have such a close family, so working together is really smooth. We all share the same values and are headed in the same direction goals-wise,” Aaron Vilfordi said in a statement.

The group chose to join Ameriprise’s employee channel because of the firm’s culture and a belief that their practice would be better served at the company. The advisors are based in Dallas where they now report to branch manager Blake Harris.
The team serves high-net-worth clients and business owners, according to Ameriprise.
“Many clients who worked with my father and uncle decades ago still work with us today,” Aaron Vilfordi said.
Also moving with the Vilfordi family are client service associates Rosmari Trump and Tonya Merriweather round out the team.
