Fidelity Adds Juice To Adviser Channel

Fidelity Investments last Tuesday announced the enhancement of its trade-processing capabilities for registered investment advisers and fee-based broker/dealers.

Fidelity has enhanced its Advisor Channel product by expanding order-management capabilities to allow advisers match trade allocations with existing block equity orders. Fidelity also strengthened the product's ability to work with other third-party portfolio management systems.

Introduced in 1992, Advisor Channel is used by more than 1,500 investment advisers and third-party administrators, as well as by 110 broker/dealer companies.

Patrick Jancsy, senior vice president of technology product development at Fidelity, said the technology makes it easier for advisers and brokers to do business because it lets them spend less time managing technology.
