Franklin Resources has named Norm Boersma as chief investment officer of Templeton Global Equity Group, replacing Gary Motyl, who
He will also retain the title of president of Templeton Global Advisors Limited.
Motyl was the third investment professional hired by Sir John Templeton and had been chief investment officer since 2000. Boersma worked closely with Motyl for almost 20 years.
Also, the firm has reportedly named Cindy Sweeting and Antonio Docal as portfolio managers on the American Beacon International Equity fund, which Motyl had helped run before his death.
