J.P. Morgan Yanks Asia Equity Fund

The Board of Trustees of the JPMorgan Asia Equity Fund has approved the liquidation of the fund, effective July 20, according to a Securities and Exchange filing.

Morninstar reports that the fund's trailing 10-year record ranks in the bottom decile of the Pacific/Asia ex-Japan Stock category and it lost some $1.1 billion to redemptions the last 30 months, shrinking the asset base to $750 million.

A spokesperson for the firm was not immediately available for comment on the fund’s liquidation.
