Morgan Stanley Snaps Up Four Big Producers

Morgan Stanley continues to bolster its advisor ranks with the addition of four former Wells Fargo and Merrill Lynch advisors who had more than $3.7 million in production.

In Akron, Ohio, the firm picked up Mark Pentella and Jessica Palmer from Merrill Lynch. Together, they managed $125 million in client assets and produced $131,000.

Pentella, a 26-year industry veteran, had spent his career at Merrill Lynch, according to registration records with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority. Palmer has 13 years of experience and had been at Merrill Lynch since 2002. They are joined by their senior registered client service associate Rebecca Tiranno and report to branch manager Jason E. Haines.

Industry veterans David and Kirsten Gordon joined Morgan Stanley’s Riverwoods, Ill., office from Wells Fargo. The two operate as The Gordon Financial Group and managed over $300 million with $2,592,000 in production.  They report to branch manager Mark Boersma.

David Gordon began his career in 1983 at Merrill Lynch and had been at Wells Fargo since 1991, according to FINRA records. Kirsten Gordon started at Smith Barney in 1992 and had been with Wells Fargo since 2005.
