Putnam, Vanguard, Fidelity Execs Among Speakers at Hearing on Target-Date Funds

The Department of Labor and the Securities and Exchange Commission have released the agenda and list of speakers at this Thursday’s hearing on target-date funds.

Among those speaking are executives from Putnam, Vanguard and Fidelity. SEC Chairman Mary Schapiro and DOL Deputy Secretary Seth Harris will make opening remarks.

The agenda includes a panel on investor considerations, a look at glide paths and underlying investments and the use of target-date funds in defined contribution plans.

Other speakers include executives from AARP, Morningstar, The Profit Sharing/401(k) Council of America, the National Association of Independent Retirement Plan Advisors, the American Benefits Council and the Employee Benefits Research Institute.
