Russell Fills a New Index Research Role

Russell Investments has added Tom Goodwin in the newly created role of senior research director for Russell Indexes. Goodwin reports to Russell Indexes managing director of global research and innovation Rolf Agather and is based in the firm’s New York office.

In his new role with Russell Indexes, Goodwin will focus on researching capital market and investing trends as they relate to Russell Indexes and will put this research to work, providing input into the firm’s index product development process, publishing reports and speaking to clients and the media on a regular basis.

“Tom’s keen understanding of capital markets, his experience in investment consulting and his ability to communicate technical concepts in a non-complex way will benefit our clients and help us continue to increase our level of service support and education,” stated Agather.

Goodwin most recently founded Wealth Econometrics. Prior to that, he spent 13 years at Russell in a variety of roles including senior research analyst for the investment division, head of capital markets research in London and director of portfolio strategies.
