TD Ameritrade, Vanguard Add Thesis Flexible Fund to Platform

TD Ameritrade and Vanguard Group have added the Thesis Flexible Fund, an alternative strategies fund, to their respective platforms. Grand Distribution Services of Milwaukee distributes the fund, managed by Thesis Fund Mgmt. of New York. The fund uses hedging strategies and is managed by the Thesis team with Stephen Roseman, Thesis Fund Mgmt. chief executive officer, as senior portfolio manager.

"Given the economy and recent market volatility, many investors and financial advisers are looking to effectively manage risk," Roseman said. "The fund offers every investor and financial adviser access to the same type of sophisticated investment strategies that hedge funds use, in a regulated, no-load mutaul fund format without the lock-ups, performance fees or K-1's of traditional hedge fund investing."

The aim is to offer investors a better risk-adjusted model in a diversified basket that has low correlation to the equity markets.
