Third Avenue Management has named David Resnick as president and a member of its investment team.
Previously, he was chairman of Rothschild’s Global Financing Advisory practice, where he led the firm’s restructuring, debt advisory and equity advisory businesses.
“Third Avenue’s over 25 years of experience in distressed investing is unique and I look forward to helping further develop its alternatives business and to grow assets,” stated Resnick.
A spokesperson for the firm added that Resnick will also be involved in the firm’s mutual fund business. The firm currently manages a family of five credit, equity and real estate mutual funds.
