Ameriprise is adding three advisors who managed a combined $391 million in assets to its employee channel, a spokeswoman said.
Alan Blender, a former Morgan Stanley advisor based in West Conshohocken, Pennsylvania, oversaw approximately $198 million while at his prior firm.
He praised Ameriprise's “unsurpassed” focus on financial planning, citing it as one of his reasons for joining. Blender was with UBS for 14 years prior to joining Morgan Stanley, according to FINRA BrokerCheck. Before UBS, Blender spent 10 years with Smith Barney.

Paul and Jesse Sheldon, a father-and-son team of Wells Fargo Advisors in Westport, Connecticut, are also joining Ameriprise. Paul Sheldon will serve as senior partner and managing director. Jesse Sheldon will serve as an advisor. Paul and Jesse Sheldon are being joined by Michael Tuozzoli, a registered client associate who also comes from Wells Fargo.
Their team had approximately $193 million in assets under management, according to Ameriprise.
Prior to joining Wells Fargo, Paul Sheldon spent 25 years working for Prudential Securities, according to BrokerCheck. Jesse Sheldon spent a year at A.G. Edwards before Wells Fargo and a year with Oppenheimer before that.
The advisors were not immediately available for comment.
