$136M UBS adviser joins Wells Fargo

A longtime wirehouse adviser at UBS who managed $136 million in client assets moved to Wells Fargo Advisors, according to a company spokeswoman.

Larry Fowler, an industry veteran with 34 years of experience, joined Wells Fargo at its office in Washington after nearly seven years with UBS, according to Wells Fargo. Fowler now reports to Branch Manager Forrest Williams, the firm says.

Prior to joining UBS in 2009, Fowler spent a little more than 10 years in Washington with Morgan Stanley, according to FINRA BrokerCheck records. He started his securities career with Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith in New York in 1983, BrokerCheck records show.

UBS declined to comment on the departure.

Wells Fargo FiNet recently welcomed seven advisers managing $780 million in combined AUM. The recruits now work in three groups at offices in Sarasota, Fla., Agoura Hills, Calif., and Little Rock, Ark.
